Kids Media Consulting
By the time the average child on this planet is five years old, they already have 61% of their adult thoughts -- and one third of them are negative. That amounts to more than one million negative thoughts already! Because children's minds are literally like little sponges during this time (their brain waves are similar to an adult under hypnosis), this is the most crucial age to prevent negative conditioning in the first place. However, it's never too late to start.
We review TV scripts, film scripts, books, short stories, & product ideas to screen for the following:
- Whether the words will most likely create positive or negative conditioning (word by word, and phrase by phrase)
- Whether the actions will promote positive or negative behavior (what will be modeled as a result of your project? Children copy what they see.)
- Whether the messages are at a level that sufficiently delivers your message to the kids in the way you intend it (adults writers/creators often have a tendency to think like adults... this is about how the message will be received in a child's mind.)
- Whether you are capitalizing on the natural excitement and curiosity kids have, to help keep their attention and reinforce your message
